About This Image

Another capture of the Orion Nebula. This time I used the Registar program to register and stack several photos to reduce expousure noise and then enhanced it a tad in Arcsoft. The seeing was a bit better when I took these shots and I had pretty good focus. I also wanted to post a larger photo. My appologies to those not interested in astrophotography or astronomy. I think this is one of the prettiest and easiest to capture objects in all the night sky. Thanks for looking

Hi Stephenf. Thanks for the compliment. I forgot to mention the rest of the equipment in the description. I use a 10" Newtonian reflector telescope, 1200mm @ f4.7 on an Atlas goto mount. The 30d hooked up direct. (prime focus). Shutter set to bulb, 6 varying expousures from 15 seconds to 30 seconds. ISOs from 800 to 1250. Don

Great photo. May I ask which equipment you have used, is it only your 30D + Arcsoft or do you use a telescope as well? Regards Stephen
