About This Image

This is a second female which has made a web across a window. I learned that they live only one year and will be dead by winter. Their main goal is to reproduce and the female will create an egg sack. The babies will hatch in the spring. This shows the pattern on the underside.

Thank you, Fella and Talsi, for your visit and kind words. This is the spider that the book and movie "Charlotte's Web" featured. She has now spent 12 days on this web, so either she already had a rendezvous or she's still waiting for Prince Charming!
