About This Image

This orange, deciduous, azelea was growing in the garden of our previous home. We tended it for several years there, and it never bloomed once! We decided to transplant it into my Mother-in-law's garden, just 250 yards further along the road we lived in, to see if it would fair any better there. As you can see, it really enjoyed the move and began to flower the following spring and has continued ever since!
We thought a move might suit us too, so we followed the azelea and now live in the home that resides on the land where the orange azelea is. :)
Azeleas like acid soil and thrive very well in woodland environments.
Hope you like it.

Thanks for the comments and birthday wishes, Mike. Glad to say, this azelea is in full bloom again, although, I think todays rain will have spoiled them now. :0(

Carol, Mary and Beverly; thanks to you all for the nice comments. Now you've mentioned 'Flame', Beverly, I seem to remember that this one had a tag on it with that name - "Thanks" for the reminder. :)
