About This Image

Old Warden, Abbey Church of St. Leonard's, across a field of oil seed rape on a lovely day in May. Shuttleworth House and Park also lie in the picturesque village of Old Warden in Bedfordshire. The Shuttleworth Collection depicts the history of flight from the early 1900s to the 1950s. There is also a vehicle section, displaying vintage and veteran cars, motorcycles and bicycles and, from a bygone era.

Alovely Yes, it was a lovely day, especially so after the harsh winter and cool spring. The oil seed rape fields are beautiful to look at though do not smell so nice. This scene captured, for me, the shade of the trees along the way, the warm sunshine, the yellow fields and the glimpses of churches. Thank you for your always lovely comments.

Wonderful scenic capture, Paul. It looked as though it was a beautiful day and as you mentioned a great deal of interesting history.
