About This Image

This is what I believe is a Handsome Meadow Katydid nymph taken in the early evening across the street.
I believe it is that species because I have seen Handsome Meadow Katydid adults frolicking in the duck potatoes in previous years. The adults have huge antennae for their size and lovely lavender eyes. This one's sure cute. And very tiny. Less than 1/2 inch.

agreeing with all the other comments, May, really good image. Have never seen a Katydid, have heard of them but didn't know what they are : )

The Handsome Meadow Katydid nymph certainly picked a pretty weed to feast on. I liked its antennas. Beautiful blues and pink in the Pickerel Weed and first time I had seen a nymph. *g*
