I was born and raised in Niagara Falls. This photo captures more than the aesthetic magnificence, it offers a beacon to the soul of one who can no longer feel the mist.

This is still one of my favorite photos on the website.

It's been a half-dozen years since I was there, but this bring back memories. I probably stood very nearly in the same spot as the photo was taken. The power of the falls as captured in this photograph makes us realize how miniscule we really are.

I can almost hear the falls rushing over the cliff.

The muscular wall of water over awes you... its scenes like these that helps in putting oneself in correct perspective in God's creation. Its a big dissapointment for me that inspite of living a year in Montreal I could never make it to the Niagra... may be some day....

Thanks for the comment. I was at NF for a long weekend. I will be in Vancouver BC in Sept. I need to research the more scenic spots.

that is wonderful! Can almost "hear" the thundering noise from the "falls". One of the Wonders of the Modern World, I believe. Do you live near Niagara Falls? Have never seen them, unfortunately, despite living in Canada since the early 1950's.
