About This Image

this is the new male Rufous hummingbird that has recently arrived to feed at our nectar feeders. Had thought we had a new male here, as it seemed to be acting somewhat differently to the one who arrived earlier. Yesterday, when working out front, I saw both the males at the same time, so then knew for certain there are 2 males here now.
This one has an even more amazing red-gold throat/gorget.
He had a good bathing session, - I ran indoors and got the camera so was able to capture many images of him.

thanks very much, Vicki and Carol. He does have lovely iridescence. Hope you soon get some hummer visitors, Carol and Vicki. They are fun to watch, as well as being so pretty.

He's beautiful, Alandra. The coloration is amazing. I put my hummer feeder outn yesterday - it turned a bit brisk this afternoon. We were gone all day, so I have no idea if anyone's checked it out yet . . . fingers crossed! Vicki
