Yes, it is a white butterfly bush. I'm not sure if it has the same scent, because I have 2 white ones, a pink one, a couple lavender ones and a couple deep purple ones. The scent is everywhere, and I don't know if they all have it or are just "sharing". (I guess I could go out and poke my nose right in the white blossoms...) I love the butterfly bushes - they grow SO fast, and when we moved in here last year, it was just a steep lot filled with WEEDS back there. And this year, it's a BUTTERFLY Haven!

great macro of the butterfly. That looks like a white buddleia/butterfly bush, have never had a white variety. Do they have the same scent as the purple buddleias? The purple variety always brings back memories of childhood at my aunt's in England, that's why we always grow them : ) --(as well as attracting the butterflies and hummingbirds : ) thanks.

Now that is unusual to see a hand near a living butterfly. Your garden must be delicious!!
