young raccoon having a scratch, atop a holly tree covered with clematis vine, in our back garden. His mother was there also, in a different area of the treetop and she didn't seem too thrilled to see the youngster, we watched him climb up there to join her, but he soon moved away to another part of the vine/tree.
Believe it's last years baby and she was probably about to deliver new babies anytime soon, so the mamas try to shoo the older youngsters away to fend on their own - likely new babes are born by now, but haven't seen any yet.
