This is a photo a few minutes later when the mother joins her 'teenagers'. The mother's never far off & is always watching expectantly for danger (or handouts). I never give handouts because I heard its bad for the deer.

This is such a nice picture but the deer look so skinny. We used to put a salt lick out..I think that's what it is called.
