About This Image

With some dust in the air making the moon a yellow / orange color the moon was shortly going behind the mountains, and the sun was coming up. I grabbed my camera and got this photo hand held from my yard. This was taken around 5AM and I was really not awake..

Hi Ann, Paul, Art, and Beverly.. Thanks so much for your really kind thoughts about my photo, I'm glad you all enjoyed it... I'm always surprised at how good the image stabilizer works. I remembered to raise the ISO but forgot to change the aperture to at least F/8.

What a wonderful moon capture. That dust makes for a dreamy scene in my mind. The dust also softens the rugged mountain range. Very enjoyable to view. Nice photograph,Alan.
