About This Image

This image is of Mangere Mountain an extinct volcano to the south of Auckland,it has two sites on top where vents or craters once blew lava.
It has been called a sarcred mountain by the early settlers (Maori)who travelled here by very large canoes with outrigers(Waka).
To walk to the top is only about 10 mins walk and a large view of the Manuakau Harbour and International Airport.

Thank you Carol, thanks Don,of the images captured on this evening this one's clouds grabbed my eye as well and we use it as a desk top pic,as the top and bottom of the screen is used for icons in use.By all means hover over top left of image and copy it for your personal desk top pic if you want. regards Vince.

Very pretty shot, I like how the bottoms of the clouds are lit up. Don
