About This Image

These mountains are about 20 miles from our home. We have lived here, in Scottsdale, Arizona, for more than 30 years. This is the first time I have ever seen snow on these mountains. It was a lot of fun getting out for a photo safari, along with a lot of other excited desert dwellers.

Thanks Alandra and Alex. Yes. It was pretty exciting! I've been missing the snow the past few years. No chance of seeing any of that around here for a long time now. I think it was 109F yesterday. Something like that every day.

that must have been exciting for you, Gary, to see snow on those mountains after living there for that long and never having seen it before! Great to get out on that photo safari. This series is great.
