think it was probably a lot smaller at that time, as this was about 40 years ago, that these people went to live there : ) - hard to believe it could be so long ago.

that's a coincidence. knew a family who left Northern BC to move to Manurewa, many years ago! First time I've ever seen the name since. Think they lived there a year or so and then returned to British Columbia, Canada. have lost touch with them since, altho did write to Jean during their stay in NZ.
