About This Image

This waterway was thick with maanatees the day I took Mike's daughter-in-law and four sons out to see them. It was fun watching the boys spot noses, tails ("paddles") and an occasional back before the huge mammals sank back o the river bottom.

Hi Gary! How nice to hear from you - it's a pretty area - a wildlife photographer's haven, for sure - especially all the birders!

Thank you both, Carol and Austin. I used three graduated color layers for the framing, Carol. This former boatworks near the Caloosahatchie river was a thriving business for many years.
