This is such a wonderfully photographed lupine. Colors and clarity are outstanding.

Gorgeous colouring and lovely flowers. The image has lovely detail which shows up beautifully on the larger image. I agree with Talsi; they do look as if they're hugging aahhh! :)

Thanks, Alan, they looked so nice I had to grab some shots of them. I tweaked the saturation up slightly, and shifted the color a little toward red to compensate for the open shade lighting, but the photo is very much how they look in person. Alandra, this is also the second season for these, and this year they really took off, about 3X the blooms. Oddly, last year they bloomed pink, this year purple! We also have some white ones. Brian, they survive Western NY winters, with temperatures to below zero (F). I think they'll probably grow anywhere. Thanks for the comments! Bruce

Those flowers are very pretty. What climate do they grow well in?

very pretty image of the pair of flowers. we have some light red lupins (as we call them) showing off nicely in our front patio area also. This is the 2nd season for them and the plant has progressed a lot, there are many more flower buds to follow. I like their peppery scent.
