About This Image

Balleratte (spellcheck) about 1 hour from Melbourne Australia. This is an old town with no electricity. food is cooked in wood stoves. Horse and cart or foot was the only form of transport. Everything was made by hand. This is the Policeman. He had his own jailhouse which he used to locked up visiters in. it is a great place to visit.

Mike. Dean just got home and says he is sure it is a Navy Colt Cap and Ball Revolver he thinks in is a 36 calibre. He said it was a strange calibre.

Mike you sound like you know your stuff. He showed us the ball that gets fired from the gun. He showed us how to put in the powder and then fired it without the ball. Everyone was very impressed. Including me!!

HI this interests me very much as the clothes look 1930,s ish yet the gun looks like either a cap and ball or a 1864 navel gun as used in the 1860-1865 American civil war .. can smell food on wood would love to visit there one day lol
