About This Image

Black's Fork Commissary, from what I can find out, was either a soldier's encampment or a trading post. It consists of probably a dozen ruined cabins. What would life have been like for those that lived here? Would they appreciate the beauty of the Uinta mountains like I do? Or was it simply 'home'?

What a beautiful setting. The trees are gorgeous. I'm sure the Indians who had lived there appreciated the land.
