About This Image

With today being Remembrance Day, I thought I would share this night shot of the Canadian War Memorial. Since I was a child I have always felt this monument was a glorious tribute to those who served. At the forefront of the photo is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We remember those who served and support those that are currently serving.

Preparations were being done for the upcoming ceremonies. The next day, while on my way to a meeting, I watched the Crown Prince of Belgium lay a wreath on behalf of the Belgian people. I wished I had my tripod with me when I took this photo. I held it steady on a rail. I altered it a bit changing it to B&W. I like the shadows too Don, and I think that having it printed this way accentuates the mood.

Very nice image, Ross, and a very fine monument to the Fallen. I just had tears in my eyes, watching a CNN report about servicemen/women recovering from terrible injuries. Bless them all.
