This pup tryed to tug my lens cloth off the camera strap, the one behind was having a nibble at my ankle with razor sharp teeth, explaining the not so sharp or straight image.

Oh, but they're so cute, am sure you didn't mind a few teeth marks on your ankle and you can always get another lens cloth. :)
