Hi Tan. Great pic of our special island. The water looks so calm too. Yes, it is a Bird sanctuary. There are very strict rules to this island. No-one lives on it, but DOC monitors it. They only take a certain number of people out there each year - day trips for groups. And I hear they leave very early in the morning. You can picnic on there, but I'm pretty sure you can't have a BBQ. And you are not allowed on the island without being supervised by DOC staff.

Lovely shot Tania, Its a bird santury is it, I think Nessa went out there once and they have to have permission, DOC took a group out, hope I have the right island.
