Yes, the textures are also interesting and compliment the lighting. Like the lighting/contrast, they go from the very soft (the hat & suit) to the very hard (the wall). With very little in between.

This was originally a color shot, but there was little color in it, so I decided to just go for B&W. Also, I really liked how the patches of light fell on the subject and other locations, so I decided to move into a high contrast effect. I left just enough gray to make out some forms in the picture. One thing that strikes me about this photo, is how the subject does not appear to move his arms as he walk (both are down by his sides). This adds to the surreal quality a bit.
