The trees appear almost Japanese in their form (neither the trees, nor the location are Japanese).

This photo breaks the rule of thirds and similar conventions, in that the moon is placed in the center of the photo. I believe that the orientation of the trees helps to provide some balance to the composition.

Beautiful. Amazing how the Moon is cradled carefully in the arms of the pine. And the top limbs are angled at just right points. Very oriental scene. Very appealing. Gorgeous shot is right!!!
