About This Image

Isn't he just absolutely gorgeous? I took this of him (just hours old & yes, it's a boy, you can tell from the black spot on each of his lower wings. The females don't have these scent glands.) resting on my hand before I took him outside to flutter away. He's not actually the butterfly in the series of hatching photos, that was a girl, but he was so obliging to let me take this picture of him in all his glory.
