About This Image

While taking photos at the 2007 Deerassic Classic Giveaway I came across Irlene Mandrell, one of the Mandrell sisters. She bugged me long enough that I decided to go ahead and get a shot of her with me :-). No, really, she was kind enough to sit with me for a few minutes so I could get this shot. For a celebrity she is really a sweetheart, full of life, fun and stunningly beautiful. Look at those big eyes! A classy, down to earth lady who loves the outdoors. I have a nice keepsake photo here huh? Thanks for looking, Don

yikes, am further behind than I thought I was! First time I've seen this one, Don. Great shot, and I have to go along with the others who said you moved on purpose, LOL. Great shot of you, toooo! Really nice.

Don I like this shot of you and Irene. It's not often one gets a chance to have a photo with a star. Keep Skiting (Showing off) It's a good thing. Regards Viv

Thank you all for the nice comments. I appreciate it much. LOL, I'm guilty. I did try to drag it out as long as possible. Hey what is a skite? Lol, probably not a good thing?..:-). Don

Toni - lovely portrait picture. Maybe you could learn some cropping - in half hahaha. Don - you skite! I have never heard of her either. Not sure if that is due to the generations, or being on the other side of the world. So what is she famous for? And I'm agreeing with Anne about you moving so you could keep your arm around her for longer :)

Thanks everyone! It was definately the highlight of my day. It wasn't a timer shot, I had to convince Toni to take it for me...lol. She messed up her first 5 attempts, she had never even held this camera before. And I had on the heavy 70x200 f2.8 which didn't help. When she finally got a decent shot and showed it to us on the LCD screen, Irlene smacked me on the arm and she said I was giving Toni a dirty look when she took that one lol. Toni gave it one last try and this one I posted is it. Not that I minded sitting there with my arm around Irlene the whole time :-). Don

Great portrait of the two of you. You both look so happy. Did someone take the photo for you or did you use a timer?
