Hi Karenmoen! The coyotes in Yosemite are so accustomed to people that I doubt they are curious about anything (even my dog), except a handout. When I 1st came upon it, it was lying down in the snow (tired) surrounded by people. Then it trotted behind us as we hiked, my dog growled every so often until it stopped following us. Hey Donwrob! Yes, they are cool animals. I happen to live around them as well. They yip & howl about every night, and hunt in the field next to me in the morning. I have yet to see one catch a rabbit (not that I want to see it...but those little cottontails are just too fast) Unfortunately, my cats were not fast enough :( Thanks so much for your comments!

Wow! Great Coyote capture Patrice! Classic look with the top eyebrows flat. They are very intelligent, most people don't give them enough credit. We have quite a few in this part of Ohio, but I have yet to get a good shot of one. We I'm out all night with the telescope, it's fun to listen to them yip and howl to one another. They are very cool animals, well in my opinion :-). Don
