About This Image

taken a few minutes ago, from the front window, telephoto setting. The hummer was just a few inches from the ground feeding on flowers in the front driveway. That is the shadow of one vehicle in the background.
the tiny feet can be seen here

Lucky kids.Yes,Toy Kingdom has a lot of toys on sale now so it's really peerfct to buy your Christmas gifts for the kids this early while prices of toys are amazingly low. I saw a nice set of puppets (4 animal puppets per set) that's only P200 instead of the usual SRP of P400.There's also a xylophone with a toy clock that's only P50 (marked down item), can you believe that? I'm getting one of those.

Hi Kathleen, Thanks

Hi Kathleen, Thanks for blogging about the Tech Talk Tuesday siensoss. We have had some fabulous presenters and the other element about these siensoss is that they draw global participation. This adds richness to the presentations, content and conversations.Peggy was an excellent presenter. She has a broad depth of technological knowledge which she willingly shares and I love going back and listening to the Classroom2.0 LIVE recordings. As I teach in a small remote, rural school, it is fabulous to be able just to logon with my computer and join the world in the best of PD. I look forward to your presentation, Kathleen.

Good job

Very nicely captured shot. I just love hummingbirds. And your shots are done so well.

Hi Suzy, sorry to be late with this reply, thankyou for your nice comment. Those hummingbird moths do look very much like hummingbirds. We used to see them here on summer evenings, but not this past year.

This photograph is wonderful, Alandra! I took photos of a hummingbird dining at a lavender plant on our terrace, only to discover (duh!) that there are no hummingbirds in Europe; what I photographed was a hummingbird moth!

This is a super shot you have here Alandra, lucky you.

I just don't know how you do it Alandra. I can never get the hummingbirds to stay still long enough to get a shot of them! And your Blue Moon ie absolutely georgeous! Pam

thanks very much, WebSphinx, glad you like it. I never had much luck capturing pics of these little birds before either, but this summer had quite a few opportunities.

Excellent! A difficult shot to get! I have never even come CLOSE to getting a hummingbird pic!

many thanks Alan, happy you enjoy the hummer photo. know what you mean, several of my hummer photos turned out very pale too, - think they were young ones. we just saw one again today, - first one for at least a week, - probably just enroute south. It didn't stay long, but have since re filled my nectar feeder to hang out again, it's been so hot lately that I didn't refill it for a few days, when no hummers were around.

Super Hummingbird photo Alandra!! The dark background works great. Most of my hummer shots have lighter backgrounds and makes it hard to see all of the birds details. Glad you got a giggle out of my yes dear photo :) ~Alan~
