Hummingbird waiting to feed

Hi Alex, you were asking what's in the feeder. Just a sugar and water mix. water from the kettle, 4 parts water to one part sugar. Stirred well to dissolve sugar, and let it cool of course. If the hummers return when it's still pretty cold at nights, we mix it with 3 parts water to one part sugar, as they need more energy to last them in the coldness, esp at nights. But as soon as it warms up outside, 4 to 1 is closest to the nectar in the flowers.
