Hollyhock Buds

am looking forward to this hollyhock blooming again soon. The buds are forming now on the same plant. Am happy that it overwintered, some of the other hollyhocks didn't survive last winter.

thanks again, Susan, glad you like it, and nice to hear that these were among his favourite flowers. I'll always think of him now when I see hollyhocks. Hope they return again this year, too.

This is so beautiful, just love the richness of the colour. I remember my Dad growing these in East Africa, they were one of his favourite flowers.

This is a beautiful image Alandra but also, I like the way you have added 'Hollyhocks' into the image. I like that! The buds and new flowers look very nice considering you didn't even use a macro lens, well done :)

Hi Alan, thanks for the nice comments, appreciated. This plant's a bit different than the other hollyhocks that were planted at the same time, last summer. They didn't bloom last summer, so am happy to see these flowers this year.
