About This Image

I got a stem of this flower during the winter from a friend. I really never thought any thing
would come of it. In fact, I didn't know what it
was till I checked it out. This stem of a plant
gave me a flower yesterday. It made me smile. So
it will keep sitting on the kitchen sideboard. Perhaps it will give me more flowers during the
winter months.

Thank you so much Mary, Viki and Carol. No, it came as just a stick. No roots. I put it in water and kept it near my kitchen window. When I saw the roots, I was so happy. I got some good soil from the hardware store and this is my first blossom. I'm hoping to keep it growing. Thank you for commenting. The stain glass makes such a pretty sight in the afternoon when the sun shines through.

I agree with Vicki, the plant is gorgeous with the stained glass background. Is the stem in water or dirt and did it have a root when you got it? ....just curious!

Beautiful - the stained glass in the background really adds to the composition. Nicely done. Vicki
