Great Blue Herons, - the male is bringing the female a small stick for their nest. We watched this male repeat this many times, - he would fly away, returning soon after with another small branch and offer it to the female. She would accept the stick with her beak and bury it beneath her. The male would sit there for a short time, then fly away and return with another offering : ) Cute to watch.

thankyou Karen, am happy you enjoy seeing these. This is what I thought, (hoped) that it might be of interest to people who don't have these huge birds in their area.
