Great Blue Heron, standing atop the tree, trying to give a warning to the Bald Eagles that were harrassing their nesting area last evening. He was very high up in this capture. I just read that the Great Blue Herons can be 4 feet tall.

thankyou, Mary, yes I see what you mean re their size and the treetop. I think the treetop is bent slightly, but you'd think it would be more.

He looks so huge that it seems like his weight should bend the branches. Very nice.
