Great Blue Heron flying towards us. Looks like his wings are painted on the front top edges. It appears to be coloured skin at this breeding plumage time of year. Thought it was feather colour there until seeing the photos. Am sure they can see us and watch us as we take these pictures

thankyou Mary, well, it's hard to know what to take pics of first, there, as there's so much action going on : ) I guess it's just due to being the nesting season. I have to try to remain "calmer" as its so exciting that sometimes the shots are no good : ) plus they are quite high up and far away a lot of the time.
