thanks Anne also, am sorry you no longer see the herons in your area. Maybe they will return sometime, I hope so. It is lovely being able to see them around here.

thanks Karen :) -- you're right! He has a long walk ahead of him. Actually these guys/gals are here year round.

What a beauty. We seldom get to see them - when an oil well was drilled near their favorite spot, they moved on. They are still around - just not in the area where I could see them. I really miss seeing them too.
