thankyou Steve, yes, he does look very "regal/noble" standing there :) This was shot in early March, and the herons were in that spot for 2 consecutive days, so we assumed they are always there. However, we've returned several times since and they've never been there. They are busy nest building now, closer to home. This was captured in the next small town to ours.
