About This Image

This temple is along Esplanade Ave in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was walking along the Avenue taking pictures of all of the historic homes in the area. This place almost did not qualify as one of the places that I was going to shoot but I saw the sign and said wow that is strange. New Orleans has a lot of religions that have been involved since the beginning. The leaders, before it was part of the United States, were Catholic and tried to make the people the same but people practice their faith regardless of what leaders desire.

I had not. I was walking down the street and I saw the sign. I was waiting for robed chanting figures to come out any second. No one came out as I passed and took pictures. I was disappointed because I would have loved to learn about them.
