Here are the smaller Great Blue Heron youngsters with one parent. You can see how they've grown since the earlier captures of them : )
Their nest is high up on The Bluff, where all the herons are nesting, and quite a distance away.
Interesting to watch the antics at the nests : )

thanks Alex, your comments are always something to look forward to, also : ) Have a big smile over this one. Thought it was quite funny myself. I have some similar pics of this family where the parent is scratching under its beak with it's BIG foot, LOL. Here, the tallest baby has his head hidden in the leaves, but the odd part is, there appears to be something that looks like a kings crown just above that youngster, and can't for the life of me figure out what it is.
