Thanks Urusla and Alfresco for the lovely comments.I thought he looked different than the usual grasshoppers around here.He didnt stay long once he spotted me.LOL

Nice macro! It's hard to get that close to critters without scaring them off. I think that's a Katydid, a cousin of crickets and grasshoppers.
