About This Image

We decided to spend a weekend in the Grand Canyon. It is just a two and a half hour drive from my home. The weather report was calling for snow and we figured we were going to get snowed in but did not care LOL..

The Grand Canyon is still being made by the Colorado River flowing through the bottom. The Grand Canyon is two hundred miles long, four to eighteen miles wide, and one mile deep.

The weather was really cold and windy. It would snow and then the sun would come out and melt it. This went on all weekend long. We would hang out in the shops by the fireplaces while it was snowing, then go out and take photos when the sun came out.

You can see the wall of snow passing through the canyon in this photo. After taking this photo ten minuets later the snow started falling

Terrific shots!!! I felt I was right there watching the snow coming in. Thanks for adding notes of what was going on. You gave us a familiarity with the scene. What a wonderful bit of history for us stay at homes. Thanks.
