Canvas 2 of 5, a six week old baby girl. Pencil on canvas then mixed and dragged with several layers of black and white oil paint. This image evolved through many faces which I wish I had photographed at each stage. This stage is still without many female feature curves and so looks more like a boy. A reluctant study in realism but a valuable lesson in the fine difference between girl and boy bone structures. I took this picture just before sanding the canvas down to be reworked after further study. I used a glow effect to soften the image to guide me through the next step.
