A little snake I found in my Mom's pond garden. He posed for a minute then got scared off by a kid.

Nicely framed by the green leaves with good detail and color. I think it is either a garter snake or a ribbon snake. They like to eat tadpoles and small fish.

Ah! You caught the tongue flick. Lucky you. I get some great photos of snakes but have never been able to get the flick right. Good for you!
