About This Image

This image is of a Water Fountain mounted beneath a Victorian clock which is on Shanklin sea front, Isle of Wight.

Many were erected in London as early as 1850's, as memorials to well-known people.
Majority of the London one's were erected in church yards, to encourage the poor people to use the churches.
Many are still in working order today.

Very interesting information Chriss. The shot looks good in black and white - goes with the Victorian era.
