About This Image

The trees on the side of the azaelas are pine trees. They do not grow naturally in this area of South Louisiana but were planted. These trees were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. It is a shame all the devestation that this storm has wrought. It is great that pictures remain in order to keep our memories alive. Photographs and memories are for the old. I am getting a lot of both so at 49, I must be old.

Thanks for the comment. That is interesting about the trees in Arizona. If you go about 50 miles North of LaPlace, where Mom lives, then you will see pine trees. I live about 50 miles south of her.

Nice shot, Dud. I like the framing too. I love pine trees. We do have them in the mountains in Arizona, but not native to the desert where we live.
