Thankyou so much Alandra and Jas for looking in, I'm so pleased you like this blanket also, there are quite a few variations of this pattern about, at the moment I am flat out knitting, little pure wool jackets for the latest grandson, he feels the cold and needs pure wool for the warmth, its impossible to find pure wool garments for a new born, and with all those sheep that we have over here:)

beautiful baby blanket, Lorraine. Your handiwork is lovely. I picked up a book at the local thrift shop, showing all sorts of knitting designs and thought of your work when I looked thru it, as some of the patterns reminded me of what you've shown us here.
