The U.S. Navy's Blue Angels acrobatic flying team are based in nearby Pensicola, Florida. The westernmost rest areas on Florida's I-10 have the priviledge of displaying two of the well-loved jet planes.

Thank you Alex and Carol. My ex was on the USS Enterprise during Viet Nam, Alex - they docked at Alameda - and my birth mother was also stationed near there during WW11! Where's the air show going to be at?

Very interesting shot. Like the way it just shoots up into the clouds. By coincidence the Blue Angels will be here in San Francisco tomorrow. The former Alameda Naval Air station is based nearby to me. They have two similar jets on display. In addition, they apparently donated one to the local high school who has it displayed in their front yard. I will take a couple of pictures and display them for you and others.
