About This Image

Image of a small Fishing Village, in the Lofoton Islands, Norway.
The colours of the buildings are traditional colours, used for hundreds of years here. There is a boardwalk pier around the harbour, which is surrounded by mountains.
In the harbour, are a mixture of fishing boats and leisure craft.

Hi Alandra, Thanks for commenting and am glad you liked this. The ship your friend went on, is the new Cunard ship and looks very impressive when in dock. We saw her recently and I managed to get a couple of shots as we passed by. They possible did the same itinerary as us but we travelled on Aurora, a P&O ship. The scenery in Norway is just stunning a bit like the Canadian scenery. :)

Pretty scene, Jas, -- thought this was from Norway, as had just rec'd some images from a friend who lives in Hampshire, who just returned from a cruise to Norway, and he sent similar photos. Am wondering if you took the same cruise that they did. Their ship was the Queen Victoria, - it looked fabulous. Very interesting pics too.

Thanks for your comment Johnnyo. Yes, it is a holiday shot and no, there's not really much to do here. It's primarily a fishing community, where they dry cod fish to sell and there are a few touristy shops there. Very pretty though.

Alovely shot of water and boats. Is this a holiday shot and is there much to do there?
