About This Image

These are figs. The brown ones are ripe if when you pull on them they come right off. If they do not come right off, then leave them alone until tomorrow. If they are hard to pull off but come off accidently they can ripen off of the tree. They grow on a tree but the tree generally does not grow too tall. Do not look for the brown one that is closest in the picture. It was in my stomach a few minutes after the picture was taken. The trees grow throughout Louisiana but do not normally grow wild.

Dud, I Love this photo! everything about it, the pretty colours of the figs, the dappled light, the contrasting pale green of the leaves, perfect, - it's just great. also love figs, but we don't see them growing much around here, but can buy the fresh figs locally.
