About This Image

me and some of my family outside my daughter's home, just before Jess left for the Prom. There are 3 generations here, but my daughter took the photo, so she wasn't in it, and I didn't think at the time to get a 4 generation pic of us all together. Jess and her great grandma aged 94, my oldest Grandson Shane, my little sister and me, holding the camera of course :) Didn't realize how dark my prescription lenses of my glasses go, when out in the sunlight. (they are those transitions lenses that go back to normal when indoors).

Oh, I'd forgotten about that gazing ball shot! But I'd never have recognised you from it anyway!! :)

Hi Steve, thanks for your comments. I know I always enjoy "meeting" everyone here, when they post their pics. At least, this one hasn't been distorted by the gazing ball :) as the earlier one was, which I finally dumped.

oh, that's a lovely compliment, Lulu, thanks very much. Makes me feel good esp after another birthday has just passed by! :) Kinda like the lighter colour too. Here's a bit of a smile for you, - years ago when I was going to a "brush up" secretarial course, I had this blonde wig, when wigs were all the rage at the time, and for some unknown reason, wore the blonde hair when first starting the classes. After awhile, reverted to my own hair, and guess what? - the people at the classes thought my dark hair was the wig, LOL. So at the time, thought maybe blonde hair suited me better. My older daughter is blonde, - my girls' dad had lovely blonde wavy hair.

I like your hair that colour. You don't look old enough to be a grandma :-)

Janice, I think your comment was missed earlier, have just seen it, sorry about that. Many thanks for the nice comments, glad you liked it.

thanks again, Lulu for the nice comments. Yes, you're right, my hair is naturally dark, but I had foils put in sometime ago, so now the front looks lighter where the "streaks" ran together, after several different foil applications :)

What a lovely family photo Alandra. I vaguely remember you having dark hair the last time I saw you. Am I mistaken? Nice to see you again though.

thanks again, Janice and Alan for the nice comments. I was just sorry not to have thought to get a 4 generation photo that day.

Hi Alandra, What a fun photo and one to Cherish for sure. Your daughter caught a "great moment" between Jess and great grandma. Better watch out she'll be after your camera.. I'm with Cindy that it's nice to put a face with a name, dark glasses and all LOL..

Hi dear Vicki, great to see you here again, many thanks, glad you like this, - agreeing with you about the "secret communication" between the great granddaughter and great grandma. Don't know what they were saying to each other, but it was so nice to capture these moments.

Hello my friend. This is a terrific family image - but the real grabber is the expressions shared between Jess and her great-grandma - those are totally priceless. It looks like her day was wonderful. Vicki
