About This Image

My fall crocuses have been in blossom for the past
week. It always amazes me how they always blossom
in the fall and not spring. They are a welcome
sight as my garden as now it is showing signs of colder nights.

Thank you Talsi for stopping to view and leave a comment on the fall crocus. These crocuses are taller in height then the spring crocuses.

Lorraine that is interesting to know. I have more people say or in disbelief of the fact that they really only blossom in the fall. I appreciate you telling me about your grandmother. Thanks.

They are a beautiful flower, i've never grown them but my grandmother did, I remember we were always warned not to go near that part of her garden, they seemed to be a very special flower for her.

Hi there Carol, Thank you for stopping to view and leaving a comment. Every year I get so much enjoyment from these flowers. They grow to about six or seven inches tall and four inches diameter .The blooms color deepens as the days go by till frost.
