About This Image

I took this shot in Watkins Colorado at an air show. He was a lot closer to the crowd than he was supposed to be so it gave some of us a good photo op.

Good shot, and I imagine this was moving pretty fast, so it's quite an achievement to have captured it so crisply. Alan, the wings of the aircraft have changed the air pressure which is what's forced water vapour to condense as the air moves across them. This is obviously slightly different from the condensation of water in the hot exhaust gases of the engine which is what we usually term a vapour trail.

Great shot.. The vapor trails? really adds speed to the photo.
